Conflict StylesEach conflict offer us the opportunity to choose a style for responding to the conflict. The most effective way to manage conflict, preventing it from become destructive, is to choose the conflict management style appropriate to each conflict. Most of us have a favored style that we tend to use in conflict episodes. When we learn about conflict and what styles and tactics are available to us, we learn that we're capable of choosing a different style when the situation warrants it.
